How often do I come to therapy?Therapy is often weekly. Speak to your therapist for their recommendation for you.

How long will treatment last?Treatment on average can last from three to six months depending on your treatment goals, frequency of attendance, how hard you work in therapy, the type of treatment you are seeking and other ideas you want to explore. People report that they begin to feel better after a couple of sessions.

Are my records confidential?All information that is disclosed within a session and the written records pertaining to those sessions are confidential and may not be revealed to anyone without written permission; except where disclosure is required by law. When Disclosure is Required by Law: When there is reasonable suspicion of child, dependent, or elder abuse or neglect; or when a client presents a danger to themselves, to others, to property, or is gravely disabled. Why shouldn’t I just take medication?Medication alone cannot solve all issues. What medication does is treat the symptoms. Our work together is designed to explore the root of the issue, dig deep into your behavior and teach strategies that can help you accomplish your personal and/or relational goals. Medication can be effective and is sometimes needed in conjunction with therapy.
